Esra Ozgun’s passion for acting and singing started when she was 10, taking parts in school plays, singing solos, duets and in choirs at school. She took movie acting classes in “Sinevizyon Acting Studio” for 2 years, where she also had her first experience to perform on stage as a Michael Jackson impersonator. After that, she took Turkish Classical Music courses, sang in a choir, learned how to play instruments such as lute, dombra, and guitar at “Kadikoy Public Education Arts Center” for a year. She studied Advertising Art and Graphic Design in Middlesex County College, where she also performed on stage for school art performance projects. When she was 19, she had the chance to work as an anchor, announcing weather forecast and sports news in Rutgers University’s Turkish Radio Station for a year. She worked as an ESL English teacher in Turkey, where she had the opportunity to take part in preparing children for their theater drama performances in English language. She's also done voice over acting for some advertisement projects in Turkey. When she was 34, she studied Theater Acting at “Sefakoy Cultural Arts Center” for two years.
She's been taking TV, Film, commercial, improvisation, on camera acting classes at LaGuardia Acting Studio since 2017. She also took a Theater History course at Middlesex County College to build an educational infrastructure for her further education. Then, she majored in Theatre at Kean University for a year.
She has played in several short films, kids theatre plays, done voiceovers, and website videos using teleprompters. Esra Ozgun is known for her feature film "Triaphilia". She also works on other small projects as in writing short stories, film scripts, song lyrics, poems, and articles for music magazines.
